Launch of the “Digital Minds and Renewed Identity” book

“Emirati-Moroccan Studies in Artificial Intelligence and Innovation.”

Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco, 27th of October, 2025

On Monday, 27th of October, 2025, the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Kingdom of Morocco hosted the launching ceremony for the “Digital Minds and Renewed Identity: Emirati-Moroccan Studies in Artificial Intelligence and Innovation” book, attended by Mr. Thani Salem Al Rumaithi, Member of the UAE delegation, on behalf of H.E. Al Asri Saeed Ahmed Al Dhaheri, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Rabat, H.E. Dr. Abdelouahhab Alboukhari Zaid, Prof., Secretary General, Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, Erth Zayed Philanthropies Foundation, UAE Presidential Court, and, Dr. Salim M. AlMalik, Director General, Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), as well as a number of esteemed diplomats, academics, researchers, and experts from both brotherly countries.


The publication of this scientific book is the result of joint cooperation between the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Kingdom of Morocco and the Award’s General Secretariat, with the participation of an elite group of researchers and academics from the two brotherly countries, to establish an Arab intellectual platform that explores the ethical, cultural, and educational dimensions of artificial intelligence, as well as its practical applications in vital sectors such as smart agriculture, future education, and cultural heritage protection.





During his opening speech, H.E. Al Asri Saeed Ahmed Al Dhaheri, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Rabat, presented on H.E.’s behalf by Mr. Thani Salem Al Rumaithi, Member of the UAE delegation, where he welcomed H.E. Dr. Abdelouahhab Alboukhari Zaid, Prof., Award’s Secretary General, and respected attendees, emphasizing that this publication reflects the strength of the relations between the two countries, and expresses a shared Arab desire to embrace artificial intelligence with critical awareness and creative knowledge.


From his side, H.E. Dr. Abdelouahhab Alboukhari Zaid, Prof., Secretary General, Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, Erth Zayed Philanthropies Foundation, UAE Presidential Court, expressed his pride in the Award's support for this scientific initiative, noting that artificial intelligence is not a substitute for humans, but rather an extension of their intelligence, and that its future value is measured by the values it preserves and the opportunities it creates for cooperation between friendly countries. H.E. also emphasized that this publication represents a new bridge of knowledge between the United Arab Emirates, and the Kingdom of Morocco, contributing to the consolidation of an active Arab presence in the industrial era.


The speakers also praised the leading role played by Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, in expanding its scope to include intellectual and future issues, in addition to its role in the development of the date palm cultivation, production, and agricultural innovation sectors.


The ceremony included book signing session, and discussions among experts on the most prominent issues addressed in the book. The ceremony concluded with an affirmation that this Emirati-Moroccan cultural and scientific cooperation is an inspiring model for Arab cultural diplomacy, and contributes to shaping a digital future that combines technology and identity, and promotes opportunities for sustainable development for future generations.
